Make Them Pay

Make Them Pay is an alliance representing millions of workers, citizens and communities across Britain demanding the government tax the super-rich protect workers and make polluters pay.

Whilst working on the Make Them Pay Project I delivered a comprehensive digital communications strategy that aimed to shift public discourse around climate justice and economic fairness, and drive mass mobilisation for the Make Them Pay protest on 20th September. Through developing targeted mass emails using Action Network, creating engaging social media content, utilising paid social media advertising, and working with influencers, I helped grow and mobilise a nationwide movement. The success of this communications strategy is reflected in our brand-new Instagram page attaining over 510k views, over 100 organisations becoming supporters of the movement, and around 10,000 individuals marching on the streets of London who raised the pressure on the UK government to implement a wealth tax ahead of the Autumn Budget.
